RONALD REAGAN A TRUE LEADER AND PRESIDENT INAUGURAL 30 YEARS AGO JANUARY 20, 1981

With the pretender to the Presidency currently sitting in the Oval Office, I thought it would be fitting and memorable to think back 30 years when our country faced problems not unlike those we face today. Then a true leader emerged and began a Presidency that changed the world and restored America, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Love for his country!. Love for Freedom! Love for his people!
What more could one ask of their elected leaders? If only people would turn to his vision of this great country!

Ken: I hope you have something special planned for Reagan's 100th birthday on Feb. 6.

I'm going to arrange something.

Ah yes, the beginning of the vaunted Reagan presidency. Who can forget the virtually simultaneous swearing in with the Iranian hostage release. What an amazing coincidence!

Of course, there is no coincidence; as the story has more details than this extraordinary simplistic explanation would have us believe.

Yes, the first moments of this presidency told the tale of what to expect as it played out. Deceit aimed directly at the American people, who they thought would be too stupid to see what was happening, giving the new bosses the freedom to rig government to their ends and purposes, not ours. To hell with Americans.

We saw union busting, we saw extreme deficit spending, explained to us simple Americans as "trickle-down"; the rich get the money, and we get the bill. That wasn't gold being "trickled" on us, but a golden-shower. The rich got their big tax cuts, and the rest of us, average Americans got more and more debt. During his 8 years in office, the debt grew from $994 B to $2,867 T. Stop and let that sink in for a minute. All of that debt was so the wealthy could get more of our money, and our kids money as the debt eventually gets paid back. As a reminder, after Reagan, Bush raised the debt up to $4,351 T. These two were just what we needed; NOT!

Later we had the other scandals, from Iran-Contra to the S&L débâcle. There was just no stopping these "leaders" from taking it to America.

Well, that's enough for now. I hope this has been enlightening.
